The English giants have been looking to bring in some defensive reinforcements at the end of the
current campaign, as they look to win more titles. Due to this, they have been trying to sign Senegal
international Kalidou Koulibaly.
With that being said, the two Premier League giants have now
received a boost in the hunt to bring the defender to England, as it has been confirmed that he will
be leaving Serie A giants Napoli, this summer.
The two London based clubs have been alerted after this story had emerged and it seems that they
could now go head to head, in the race to sign him.
Arsene Wenger needs more top defenders in the days to come, as his side has looked defensively
really poor at times, this season.
On the other hand, Antonio Conte’s team has also struggled to put in a solid performance at the
back and are more or less out of the title race for the league title.
Interested clubs will look to make a bid for his services soon and not wait for the World Cup to go
on, which could see his value really go up.
A report from MirrorSport further adds that Manchester United might also be interested in bringing
the player to Old Trafford, though the Londoners would be hoping that it does not happen.
The player is a high quality centre-back and this transfer saga is far from over, with a host of top
clubs from various countries will push hard to add him to their squad.
