Match Day 28 might have ended but we take a look at the players that made things happen for their respective sides.
Manchester United defeated Chelsea 2 -1 at Old Trafford while Liverpool claimed a convincing 4-1 home win over visiting West Ham side.
However; with top quality outings coupled with some stand out players in the Premier League we evaluate our star (4) players of the week as the season continues.
Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United)
The young talent has been one of the under-appreciated players in the Premier League in recent years. This is through the productive effort of the striker as he has proved himself repeatedly on Newcastle shirt.
Rafael Benitez will be pleased with Dwight Gayle performance in the season as United (Newcastle) continues to amass point for safety in the season.
Gayle got a brace for his side (Newcastle) and this is a step in the right direction as Gayle showed his quality in front of goal last weekend.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC)
Thanks to superb play from former Arsenal man as Salah was able to go on the score sheet at once again for his 31st goal of the season.
The forward was put through in the box as Alex Oxlade Chamberlain showed great strength and creativity (flair) to set-up the Egyptian forward.
This was a massive contribution from the African star as it gave them (Liverpool) the much needed 2-0 lead against West Ham United in front of the Anfield fans.
Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspurs)
Tottenham star was in top gear as he nailed the host Crystal Palace at home with an 88th-minute header.
He connected well with Christian Eriksen’s corner-kick as Spurs ran out with a hard-fought victory. This match saw Kane get into the thick of the action as Tottenham leapfrog Chelsea on the League log in the course of the season.
What a credible performance from Spurs as Kane made his mark in the EPL for yet another week. This was his 24th goal in the League as the likes of Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku fires warning to the player’s aspiration.
Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United)
The Manchester United forward showed class and physical strength in the build-up to the goal against Chelsea as he equalized before the stroke of halftime.
He went on to provide the all-important (cross) assist as Jesse Lingard came on for Anthony Martial to get the winning goal for the Red Devils.
The Belgian talent picked out Lingard in the box as United took a 2-1 lead and eventual winner in the match. Thanks to the Belgian forward (Lukaku) whose form unsettled the Chelsea defence for the entirety of the match.
